Pastors

Meet our Senior Pastor

Hello,

My name is Pastor Joe Overly, and I am honored and humbled to serve as the pastor of Christ Community Church of Blackstone. I look forward to continuing to grow in ministry alongside this wonderful church family and within the Blackstone community.

I came to faith in Christ in 1979 and soon sensed God’s call to ministry. I attended Zion Bible Institute in East Providence, Rhode Island, where I met my wife, Coleen. We were married in 1984 and later completed our bachelor’s degrees at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. My degree is in Pastoral Ministries, and Coleen’s is in Behavioral Sciences.

Coleen and I are blessed with three grown children—Kayla, Jeremy, and Kristin—who all live and work in the Worcester area.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in several ministry roles. I was the youth pastor at Calvary Temple in Holden, Massachusetts, for five years, and later served as lead pastor of New Life Fellowship Assembly of God in Charlton, Massachusetts. In 1995, I was ordained with the Assemblies of God USA.

As pastor of Christ Community Church, I am passionate about faithfully teaching God’s Word each week—encouraging believers in their walk with Christ and helping those who do not yet know Him understand who God is and what He is like.

If you are not currently attending a church, I would warmly invite you to join us on Sunday mornings. You’ll find a welcoming group of genuine, down-to-earth people who simply desire to know God and live for Him each day.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our church or the ministries of Christ Community Church of Blackstone. I would be glad to connect with you.

God bless,
Pastor Joe
